Comeback?

So I was looking back on my blog and I suddenly felt like posting something.
There´s been a lot going on since I last wrote, the worst was my grandfather passing away, which takes sometime to get used to…our new company F-Graphics & Photo is going well, I might have a job in Scotland for next year and that´s about it.

Last weekend I got to use a studio from Grafia, it was awesome, wouldn´t mind keeping the studio for myself, almost felt as attached to it like Gollum from the Lord of The Rings did to the ring…(the only reason why I made that comparison was because we had a Lord of The Rings marathon last night). Anyway, here are some examples:

Hej!

In Sweden now, lots of work waiting, training and catching up with friends.
I could continue writing but I´m using all my inspiration for my jobs so best I just hibernate for a couple of weeks, and post some pictures here instead of always updating my website…which I haven´t done for a while either so, I have to shape up there.
Up late tonight watching VMA´s on Mtv, missed the live one, and it´s pretty entertaining so…I´m trying to stay awake to watch it.

Anyways, see you when I see you.

Bags are packed, even though I´m leaving many things behind, flat is cleaned and the tickets are printed.

Been here for 6 months, it has been both good and bad. Lots of new experiences, new friends, many memories to take with me.
But now comes the hard part, saying goodbye to it all. I have always hated goodbyes, and instead of getting used to it it has only become worse everytime.
Some might think, get over it, and I agree. It is not like it´s impossible to meet again, and we do have internet and phones. But the contact always seems to fade away, not completely but you can´t keep contact as you did when you saw these people everyday. I sometimes envy people who live in the same place and have their regular circle of friends. But at the same time, I don´t.
I couldn´t imagine myself staying in Portugal my whole life, I wouldn´t have experienced everything I have, wouldn´t have met all these different people who at some point, changed something in my life.
Plus, life´s too short to stay around and learn about every little detail of your neighbours life.
But I only have myself to blame, seeing that I´m already planning to move somewhere else next year, so I guess I´ll just have to learn to say goodbye.

We´re back

Just got back from Edinburgh, loooong, loooong and if I missed that, long trip. Well, it wasn´t that long (8h) but it was hot, ac wasn´t working and two small girls in front seemed to love toilets.
But these days were really cool and so much fun.

We got to Dundee tuesday morning, which by the way had some weird vibe. The town center was nice, but heading upwards, the houses looked extremely depressing, grey and empty, streets called Darkness, or Black street (where btw, was a funeral home just in the beginning). Walked about 15-20km to Coupar Angus, from there decided walking was out of the question and buses was the new walking. So from there we finally got to Pitlochry. Stayed at the Backpackers hostel, then went exploring the mountains on wednesday. Got back and headed towards Perth, thinking it would be easy to find a hostel. Ha. Got there at 6pm, so we must have walked about 10km all around town looking for a place to stay who wouldn´t rip us off (25£…yeah right). After a well deserved dinner, we ditched Perth and took the first train to Edinburgh.

Got there at 22pm, tired, just wanting somewhere to stay, and there was a hostel just by the station. Yey! And only 11£ per night. Deal.
Stayed there until last night, met some cool people, from all over.
I´ve got lots of pictures, so I´ll post them later on.

This is the route we´re taking, not exactly like this, but from birds view, that´s how it looks. Kind of…
The first idea, was to take the bus and ferry to Dublin, then we changed to Aberdeen, Inverness and finally decided on Dundee (da-dee if camila says it), this because she´s going back to Portugal the 8th so it would be too tight plus this way is cheaper. It´s a “short” walk, and we´re missing a lot by not going to the Highlands, but it´s still a nice landscape for such a short time.

Backpacking

Hey

Monday night, we´ll get on a coach heading towards Dundee, then we´ll backpack to Edinburgh. From there we´ll take the coach back to London.
We´ll hitchhike, sleep wherever there is to sleep and…just walk. Think it`ll be cool.

Back from a short stay in Brighton.
We went down wednesday night to our b&b, and work on thursday morning, when we found out the festival had been canceled (!!), due to funding. So, we´ve been working there to take down the fencing and what not. Even got to drive the tractor. Thanks Will, for the experience of my life! Ha.
It´s a real shame, because it could have been such a great festival, good location, good bands…but hey.

Still I managed to loose my phone…my brand new phone! Aahh so freaking annoying! Knowing someone else is using it right this moment…
Took the camera with me, which did it´s job staying back at the hotel, so all I got were these two pictures one of the scenery around Devil´s Dyke and the other of camila in the van. Oh, and took one of a huge spider in the bathtub…geez that house had many spiders, you almost thought Spiderman lived there. (bad joke huh)

That´s it for today, I´m in desperate need of a good night sleep.

The pictures are from sunday, when Camila and I went to Brighton.
We got there at 3pm, and got home at 8.30am. Go figure.
And I´m oficially in love with Brighton, I could easily live there. See what the future brings.
